Current status: Valid as Parachela siamensis (Günther 1868). Xenocyprididae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong and Chao Phraya basins and Xe Bangfai, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
