Lectotype selected by Vari et al. 2005:161 [ref. 28270] for Cetopsis candiru. •Unneeded replacement for Cetopsis candiru Spix & Agassiz 1829 -- (Vari & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:258 [ref. 27061]). •Synonym of Cetopsis candiru Spix & Agassiz 1829 -- (Vari et al. 2005:159 [ref. 28270], Ferraris 2007:131 [ref. 29155]).
