Lectotype selected by Boeseman 1947:201 [ref. 12876]. •Valid as Takifugu stictonotus (Temminck & Schlegel 1850) -- (Matsuura in Masuda et al. 1984:363 [ref. 6441], Lindberg et al. 1997:129 [ref. 23547], Sokolovskaya et al. 1998:14 [ref. 24670], Nakabo 2000:1424 [ref. 25182], Nakabo 2002:1424 [ref. 26193], Choi et al. 2003:453, 700 [ref. 26218], Parin 2003:S35 [ref. 28536], Parin et al. 2014:554 [ref. 33547], Dyldin et al. 2016:137 [ref. 34682], Kim et al. 2020:205 [ref. 39118], Sonoyama et al. 2020:134 [ref. 37637], Dyldin et al. 2021:46 [ref. 38804]). Current status: Valid as Takifugu stictonotus (Temminck & Schlegel 1850). Tetraodontidae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific. Habitat: marine.
