Current status: Valid as Lasiancistrus mayoloi (Eigenmann 1912). Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: South America: Pacific coast drainages of northern Colombia, and the Caribbean slope Atrato River basin, Colombia and Mandinga River basin, Panama. Habitat: freshwater.
