Current status: Valid as Trichopsis pumila (Arnold 1936). Osphronemidae: Macropodusinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: lower Chao Phraya and lower Mekong River basins, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
