Type catalog: Henn 1928:84 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:53 [ref. 12367], Ferraris 2007:271 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Loricariichthys microdon (Eigenmann 1909) -- (Isbrücker 1980:128 [ref. 2303], Isbrücker 1981:88 [ref. 5522], Burgess 1989:445 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:29, 30 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:23 [ref. 27178], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:339 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:271 [ref. 29155]). Current status: Valid as Loricariichthys microdon (Eigenmann 1909). Loricariidae: Loricariinae. Distribution: Rupununi River basin, Guyana. Habitat: freshwater.
