Syntypes: ZSI F 11778/1 (male), F 11780/1 (female). Type catalog: Menon & Yazdani 1968:136 [ref. 20743] incorrectly list 4 paratypes as F 11779/1. Only two specimens were designated as types in the original description. See Das 2003:350 [ref. 27706]. •Synonym of Dermogenys pusillus [sic pusilla] van Hasselt 1823 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:732 [ref. 20764]). •Valid as Dermogenys burmanica Mukerji 1935 -- (Brembach 1991:155 [ref. 20227] as burmanicus, Meisner 2001:219 [ref. 25599], Collette 2004:15 [ref. 27583], Kottelat 2013:293 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Dermogenys burmanica Mukerji 1935. Zenarchopteridae. Distribution: Myanmar and Bangladesh. Habitat: freshwater.
