Also in Karaman 1929:172 [ref. 15904]. •Synonym of Alburnoides bipunctatus (Bloch 1782), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lelek 1987:147 [ref. 22962]). •Synonym of Alburnoides bipunctatus (Bloch 1782) -- (Kottelat 1997:44 [ref. 22952]). •Valid as Alburnoides ohridanus (Karaman 1928) -- (Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:159 [ref. 29996], Coad & Bogutskaya 2009:67 [ref. 30264], Bogutskaya & Coad 2009:170 [ref. 30270], Bogutskaya et al. 2010:449 [ref. 31109], Turan et al. 2014:101 [ref. 33119], Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2016:176 [ref. 34375], Barbieri et al. 2017:1080 [ref. 35663], Bektaş et al. 2019:[9] [ref. 36964]). Current status: Valid as Alburnoides ohridanus (Karaman 1928). Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Distribution: Europe: Lake Ohrid and Mat, Ishëm and Erzen Rivers (Macedonia and Albania). Habitat: freshwater.
