amemiyai, Aoria Kimura [Sh.] 1934:166, Pl. 5 (fig. 2) [Journal of the Shanghai Science Institute Section 3, v. 1; ref. 16434] Howchwan, Szechwan Province, China. Holotype: 205-mm spec., Shanghai Sci. Inst. Paratypes: (1) whereabouts unknown. Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:91 [ref. 29155]. Appeared as amemiyae on pp. 12 and 166, as amemiyai on Pl. 5; the latter was selected by Kottelat et al. 1998:570 [ref. 23920] as first revisers. •Possibly the same as Hemibagrus macropterus Bleeker 1870 -- (Kottelat et al. 1998:570 [ref. 23920]). •Valid as Mystus amemiyae (Kimura 1934) -- (Burgess 1989:69 [ref. 12860], Jayaram & Sanyal 2003:32 [ref. 26894]). •Species inquirenda in Hemibagrus -- (Ferraris 2007:91 [ref. 29155]). •Synonym of Hemibagrus macropterus Bleeker 1870 -- (Ng & Kottelat 2013:220 [ref. 32495], Kottelat 2013:259 [ref. 32989]). •Not treated in Zhang et al. 2016:182 [ref. 34477]. Current status: Synonym of Hemibagrus macropterus Bleeker 1870. Bagridae. Habitat: freshwater.
