Syntypes: ZIN 2321 (4). •Valid as Nemacheilus labiatus (Kessler 1874) -- (Berg 1949:857 [ref. 20661] as Nemachilus). •Valid as Noemacheilus labiatus (Kessler 1874) -- (Mitrofanov & Dukravec 1989:49 [ref. 37748]). •Valid as Barbatula labiata (Kessler 1874) -- (Zhu 1989:28 [ref. 17744], Wu & Wu 1992:138 [ref. 21205], Zhu 1995:108 [ref. 25213]). •Valid as Triplophysa labiata (Kessler 1874) -- (Prokofiev 2004:185 [ref. 27939], Prokofiev 2006:255 [ref. 29061], Cao & Zhang 2008:40 [ref. 29966], Prokofiev 2010:907 [ref. 31096], Zhang et al. 2016:139 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa labiata (Kessler 1874). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: North Asia and East Asia: China and Kazakhstan, introduced in Uzbekistan. Habitat: freshwater.
