Described as the freshwater form of Coregonus atikameg, the marine form would be the subspecies Coregonus atikameg atikameg although not treated as such by the author. •Synonym of Coregonus clupeaformis (Mitchill 1818) -- (Scott & Crossman 1998:277 [ref. 24570]). Current status: Synonym of Coregonus clupeaformis (Mitchill 1818). Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
