Syntypes: (50) whereabouts unknown. Author is P. A. Dryagin. Also appeared in Drjagin 1933. •Synonym of Coregonus sardinella Valenciennes 1848, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Berg 1948:333 [ref. 12882]). •Synonym of Coregonus albula (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Kottelat 1997:116 [ref. 22952] with question, Reshetnikov et al. 1997:731 [ref. 24702], Reshetnikov 1998:41 [ref. 23570], Sideleva 2001:47 [ref. 26181], Sideleva 2003:13 [ref. 27815], Dyldin et al. 2020:88 [ref. 37569]). •Valid as Coregonus vessicus Dryagin 1932 -- (Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:391 [ref. 29996], Dyldin et al. 2020:112 [ref. 37569]). Current status: Valid as Coregonus vessicus Dryagin 1932. Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Distribution: Eurasia: Lake Beloye [Belozero], Karelia (Russia); now introduced in other Volga reservoirs. Habitat: freshwater.
