Syntypes: ZIN 7243-44 (1, 1), 7851(1) Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Valid as Triplophysa siluroides (Herzenstein 1888) -- (Zhu 1989:103 [ref. 17744], Wu & Wu 1992:233 [ref. 21205], Ding 1994:86 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:116 [ref. 25213], Chen & Zhang in Chen 1998:74 [ref. 23556], Yue & Chen 1998:201 [ref. 26415], He et al. 2008:47 [ref. 29558], Kottelat 2012:131 [ref. 32367], Bashir et al. 2016:479 [ref. 34447], Zhang et al. 2016:143 [ref. 34477], Wu et al. 2016:295 [ref. 34665]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa siluroides (Herzenstein 1888). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Yellow River system, China. Habitat: freshwater.
