China 2469-70 (2). •Valid as Beaufortia szechuanensis (Fang 1930) -- (Li in Ding 1994:427 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:135 [ref. 25213], Tang et al. 1997:21 [ref. 23718], Chen & Tang in Yue 2000:512 [ref. 25272], Tang & Chen 2000:7 [ref. 25445], Tang et al. 2001:14 [ref. 25373], Chen et al. 2009:641 [ref. 30359], Kottelat 2012:59 [ref. 32367], Zhang et al. 2016:158 [ref. 34477], Zhang et al. 2019:431 [ref. 36699], Guo 2021:693 [ref. 38618]). Current status: Valid as Beaufortia szechuanensis (Fang 1930). Gastromyzontidae. Distribution: Upper reaches of Changjiang River and its branch Qin River, Yangtze River basin, China. Habitat: freshwater.
