Original genus should have been Rhinelepis. •Valid as Rhinolepis paraguensis Borodin 1927 -- (Isbrücker 1980:8 [ref. 2303], Burgess 1989:429 [ref. 12860]). •Synonym of Otocinclus vittatus Regan 1904 -- (Isbrücker 2001:32 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:28 [ref. 27178], Schaefer in Reis et al. 2003:325 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:275 [ref. 29155], Mirande & Koerber 2015:41 [ref. 35117], Koerber et al. 2017:59 [ref. 35267]). Current status: Synonym of Otocinclus vittatus Regan 1904. Loricariidae: Hypoptopomatinae. Habitat: freshwater.
