Regarded as a single specimen with a parasitic male attached; if regarded as 2 specimens, the female was designated lectotype by Eschmeyer 1998:137 [ref. 23416]. •Valid as Linophryne argyresca Regan & Trewavas 1932 -- (Bertelsen 1982:54 [ref. 288], Pietsch 2009:502 [ref. 30766]). Current status: Valid as Linophryne argyresca Regan & Trewavas 1932. Linophrynidae. Distribution: Indian Ocean (1 female). Habitat: marine.
