Paralectotypes and/or Day specimens: ZSI B.38 (1), B.219 (1, lost), B.306 (1). Type catalog: Whitehead & Talwar 1976:157 [ref. 23762] as burmanicus, Ferraris 2007:358 [ref. 29155]. Lectotype selected by Hora 1937:438, fig. 1b. Reasons for loss of ZSI type specimens during WWII see Chopra 1947:349-350 [ref. 33077]. •Synonym of Eutropiichthys vacha (Hamilton 1822) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:603 [ref. 20764]). •Valid as Eutropiichthys burmannicus Day 1877 -- (Ferraris 2007:358 [ref. 29155], Ferraris & Vari 2007:871 [ref. 29440], Kottelat 2013:252 [ref. 32989], Ng et al. 2014:6080 [ref. 33416]). Current status: Valid as Eutropiichthys burmannicus Day 1877. Ailiidae. Distribution: Irrawaddy, lower Salween and smaller intervening rivers: Myanmar. Habitat: freshwater.
