On p. 45 of separate. Appeared first as Doras loricatus Kner 1853 as name with figure of a swimbladder; this description not treated as valid since 1899 and, therefore, is considered a nomen oblitum -- Sabaj & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:458 [ref. 27061]; Doras fimbriatus is a nomen protectum. Lectotype selected by Birindelli & Sabaj Pérez 2011:134, 138 [ref. 31591]. •Valid as Doras fimbriatus Kner 1855 -- (Burgess 1989:223 [ref. 12860]). •Incertae sedis in Doradidae -- (Sabaj & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:458 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:167 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Ossancora fimbriata (Kner 1855) -- (Birindelli & Sabaj Pérez 2011:133 [ref. 31591], Birimndelli 2014:538 [ref. 33501], Sarmiento et al. 2014:190 [ref. 35004]). Current status: Valid as Ossancora fimbriata (Kner 1855). Doradidae: Doradinae. Distribution: Lowland areas in the Amazon River basin: Bolivia and Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
