kronei, Loricaria Miranda Ribeiro [A. de] 1911:132, Pl. 34 (fig. 2) [Arquivos do Museu Nacional de Rio de Janeiro v. 16; ref. 3716] Rio Iporanga, São Paulo, Brazil. Holotype: MNRJ (not found). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:294 [ref. 29155]. Citation to illustration on pl. 34 (fig. 2) may be for this species, but caption states "[Loricaria] latirostris Boul." which is the next species discussed. In the account of latirostris, reference is made to Pl. 35, which does not include any loricariids. Thus, an illustration of one of these two species was omitted from publication. •Valid as Rineloricaria kronei (Miranda Ribeiro 1911) -- (Isbrücker 1980:107 [ref. 2303], Isbrücker 1981:88 [ref. 5522], Burgess 1989:442 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:29, 32 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:29 [ref. 27178], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:342 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:294 [ref. 29155], Ghazzi 2008:102 [ref. 29636] dated 1912, Reis et al. 2020:468 [ref. 38364]). Current status: Valid as Rineloricaria kronei (Miranda Ribeiro 1911). Loricariidae: Loricariinae. Distribution: South America: Ribeira de Iguapé River basin (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
