wrighti, Usacaranx georgianus Whitley [G. P.] 1931:317 [Australian Zoologist v. 6 (pt 4); ref. 4672] 40 miles west of Kingston, South Australia, depth 30 fathoms. Holotype: AMS I.10336. Paratypes: AMS I.10397 (1). •Valid as Pseudocaranx wrighti (Whitley 1931) -- (Paxton et al. 1989:582 [ref. 12442], Kuiter 1993:176 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:585 [ref. 22532], Hutchins 2001:33 [ref. 25847], Smith-Vaniz & Jelks 2006:103 [ref. 28900], Hoese & Gates 2006:1163 [ref. 28997], Smith-Vaniz 2008:578 [ref. 30654], Springer & Smith-Vaniz 2008:30 [ref. 31826], Duffy & Ahyong 2015:113 [ref. 36167] as cf. wrighti, Bearham et al. 2019:[B] [ref. 36963], Hoschke et al. 2019:156 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Pseudocaranx wrighti (Whitley 1931). Carangidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: Monte Bello Islands (Western Australia) southward, east to Cape Everard (eastern Victoria, Australia). Habitat: brackish, marine.
