Originally as albo-oculata. •Valid as Oxyeleotris albooculata (Herre 1927) -- (Kottelat 2013:395 [ref. 32989] with question, Parenti 2021:24 [ref. 38603], Jamandre 2023:167 [ref. 40455]). Current status: Valid as Oxyeleotris albooculata (Herre 1927). Eleotridae: Butinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Palawan (Philippines) endemic. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
