Lectotype selected by Poll 1971:252 [ref. 7700]. •Valid as Synodontis alberti Schilthuis 1891 -- (Poll 1971:252 [ref. 7700], Gosse 1986:119 [ref. 6194], Burgess 1989:195 [ref. 12860], Ferraris 2007:311 [ref. 29155], Munene et al. 2021:24 [ref. 39283]). Current status: Valid as Synodontis alberti Schilthuis 1891. Mochokidae: Mochokinae. Distribution: Central Africa: Congo River basin (Democratic Republic of Congo). Habitat: freshwater.
