Correct spelling of original genus is Chasmocranus. •Valid as Heptapterus rosae (Eigenmann 1922) -- (Burgess 1989:277 [ref. 12860] also in Imparfinis on p. 277). •Valid as Chasmocranus rosae Eigenmann 1922 -- (Bockmann & Guazzelli in Reis et al. 2003:412 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:183 [ref. 29155], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:90 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:79 [ref. 35773]). Current status: Valid as Chasmocranus rosae Eigenmann 1922. Heptapteridae: Heptapterinae. Distribution: Meta River basin, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
