Lectotype selected by Isbrücker 1979:113 [ref. 2302]. •Valid as Sturisomatichthys tamanae (Regan 1912) -- (Isbrücker 1980:93 [ref. 2303], Burgess 1989:440 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:30, 32 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:29 [ref. 27178], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:346 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:300 [ref. 29155], Covain et al. 2015:514 [23] [ref. 34066], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:77 [ref. 35633], Londoño-Burbano & Reis 2019:792[ref. 37158]). Current status: Valid as Sturisomatichthys tamanae (Regan 1912). Loricariidae: Loricariinae. Distribution: San Juan and Atrato River basin, Caribbean and Pacific slopes of Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
