Secondarily in competition in Rasborinus with Rasborinus hainanensis Nichold & Pope 1927 (same publication) if Chen in Chen et al. 1998:118 and 120 [ref. 23878] is both are treated as valid and congereric. •Valid as Anabarilius hainanensis (Nichols & Pope 1927) -- (Yih & Wu 1964:74 [ref. 13499]). •Synonym of Ischikauia macrolepis (Regan 1908) -- (Bănărescu 1971:12 [ref. 20612]). •Synonym of Ischikauia macrolepis (Regan 1908), but a valid subspecies -- (Mai 1978:162 [ref. 13511]). •Synonym of Rasborinus formosae Oshima 1920 -- (Lu in Kuang et al. 1986:84 [ref. 26639], Chen in Chen et al. 1998:120 [ref. 23878]). •Synonym of Metzia formosae (Oshima 1920) -- (Kottelat 2013:123 [ref. 32989] but spelled Ishikauia). Current status: Synonym of Metzia formosae (Oshima 1920). Xenocyprididae. Habitat: freshwater.
