See Das 2003:372 [ref. 27706]. •Questionably a synonym of Trypauchenopsis intermedia Volz 1903 -- (Shibukawa & Murdy 2012:527 [ref. 32199]). •Valid as Brachyamblyopus burmanicus Hora 1926 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:982 [ref. 20764], Shrestha 2008:223 [ref. 29923], Kottelat 2013:432 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:60 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Brachyamblyopus burmanicus Hora 1926. Gobiidae: Amblyopinae. Distribution: Indo-Australian Archipelago and south-central Asia. Habitat: freshwater.
