The spelling chilopogon in Bleeker 1864:42 [ref. 4860] is an unjustified emendation. •Valid as Cirrhimuraena cheilopogon (Bleeker 1860) -- (McCosker 1977:75 [ref. 6836], Smith & McCosker 1999:1668 [ref. 24715]).
