Holotype (unique): FMNH [ex CM 3921] (missing). Type catalog: Henn 1928:98 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:83 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Thalassophryne maculosa Günther 1861 -- (Collette 1966:852 [ref. 14192]). •Valid as Daector quadrizonatus (Eigenmann 1922) -- (Collette 1973 [ref. 21056], Collette in Reis et al. 2003:509 [ref. 27061], Greenfield et al. 2008:675 [ref. 30046], Ibagón E. et al. 2011:47 [ref. 31492] dated 1923, DoNascimiento et al. 2017:95 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Daector quadrizonatus (Eigenmann 1922). Batrachoididae: Thalassophryninae. Distribution: Truandó River basin, Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
