Originally as santae-ritae. •Valid as Trichomycterus santaeritae (Eigenmann 1918) -- (Burgess 1989:323 [ref. 12860], de Pinna & Wosiacki in Reis et al. 2003:284 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:423 [ref. 29155], Costa et al. 2020:2919 [ref. 37529], Costa et al. 2020:81 [ref. 38088], Reis & de Pinna 2022:23 [ref. 39360], Vilardo et al. 2023:5 [ref. 40643]). Current status: Valid as Trichomycterus santaeritae (Eigenmann 1918). Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae. Distribution: South America: Rio Preto drainage, ParaĆ­ba do Sul River basin (Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
