Type information: Gon 1988:8 [ref. 31743] with a holotype and other specimens. •Valid as Vincentia conspersa (Klunzinger 1872) -- (Gon 1988:8 [ref. 31743], Paxton et al. 1989:558 [ref. 12442], Kuiter 1993:155 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:569 [ref. 22532], Kuiter 1997:148 [ref. 25488], Allen et al. 2006:1110 [ref. 29004], Allen & Gomon 2008:560 [ref. 30653], Mabuchi et al. 2014:196 [ref. 33426], Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:18 [ref. 36965]). Current status: Valid as Vincentia conspersa (Klunzinger 1872). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean, southwestern Pacific: South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania (Australia). Habitat: marine.
