Type catalog: Whitehead & Talwar 1976:162 [ref. 23762], Ferraris et al. 2000:303 [ref. 25110]. Reasons for loss of ZSI type specimens during WWII see Chopra 1947:349-350 [ref. 33077]. •Valid as Odontamblyopus tenuis (Day 1876) -- (Larson & Murdy 2001:3593 [ref. 26293], Murdy & Shibukawa 2001:35 [ref. 25243], Murdy & Shibukawa 2003:5 [ref. 26583], Manilo & Bogorodsky 2003:S118 [ref. 27377], Murdy 2011:113 [ref. 31729], Kottelat 2013:433 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2021:61 [ref. 38603], Larson 2022:22 [ref. 39965]). Current status: Valid as Odontamblyopus tenuis (Day 1876). Gobiidae: Amblyopinae. Distribution: Northern Indian Ocean: Pakistan east to Myanmar. Habitat: marine.
