Paratypes: (now 14) ZUMT 57527--57540 (14) ZMUT 48582 from near the type locality was described by Tomiyama 1956. •Valid as Zoarchias neglectus Tanaka 1908 -- (Amaoka in Masuda et al. 1984:304 [ref. 6441] with author as Franz, Nakabo 2000:1043 [ref. 25182], Nakabo 2002:1043 [ref. 26193], Katafuchi et al. 2002:5 [ref. 26564], Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2004:24 [ref. 27604], Kimura & Sato 2007:67 [ref. 29110]). Current status: Valid as Zoarchias neglectus Tanaka 1908. Neozoarcidae. Distribution: Western North Pacific: near Misaki, on Pacific coast of central Honshu; in tidepools. Habitat: marine.
