curensis, Clupea (Alosa) Suvorov [E. K.] 1907:162 [24], Fig. 4 [Trudy Kasp. Exped. 1904 v. 1; ref. 14359] Southern Caspian Sea, near mouth of Kura River, Azerbaijan. Lectotype: ZIN 13984. Paralectotypes: ZIN 13984 (2, with lectotype). On p. 24 of separate. Lectotype established by Svetovidov 1952:279 [ref. 21481]. •Valid as Caspialosa curensis (Suvorov 1907) -- (Berg 1948:120 [ref. 12882]). •Synonym of Alosa brashnikowi (Borodin 1904), but a valid subspecies -- (Whitehead 1985:196 [ref. 5141] as brashnikovi, Coad 1995:8 [ref. 23608]). •See Coad 1995:8 [ref. 23608]. •Valid as Alosa curensis (Suvorov 1907) -- (Reshetnikov et al. 1997:727 [ref. 24702], Dorofeeva 1998:25 [ref. 23573], Esmaeili et al. 2010:366 [ref. 33391], Jouladeh-Roudbar et al. 2015:859 [ref. 34062], Esmaeili et al. 2017:28 [ref. 35254], Esmaeili et al. 2018:8 [ref. 36089] once misspelled kurensis). Current status: Valid as Alosa curensis (Suvorov 1907). Clupeidae. Distribution: Caspian Sea basin. Habitat: brackish.
