Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:289 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Pseudoloricaria laeviuscula (Valenciennes 1840) -- (Isbrücker 1980:124 [ref. 2303], Isbrücker 1981:88 [ref. 5522], Burgess 1989:444 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:29, 32 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:28 [ref. 27178], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:340 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:289 [ref. 29155], Silvano et al. 2020:265 [ref. 38135]). Current status: Valid as Pseudoloricaria laeviuscula (Valenciennes 1840). Loricariidae: Loricariinae. Distribution: South America: lower and middle Amazon River basin, including Negro and Branco rivers (Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
