Paratypes: LACM 10450-2 (2), 10726-1 (1), 10727-2 (2, c&s), 10727-6 (9), 10728-3 (2). •Valid as Paraliparis anarthractae Stein & Thompkins 1989 -- (Stein & Andriashev 1990:236 [ref. 21694], Stein et al. 1991:370 [ref. 19979], Pequeño 1997:83 [ref. 23536], Andriashev 1998:262 [ref. 23579]). •Valid as Praematoliparis anarthractae (Stein & Tompkins 1989) -- (Andriashev 2003:376 [ref. 26955], Chernova et al. 2004:46 [ref. 27592]). Current status: Valid as Praematoliparis anarthractae (Stein & Tompkins 1989). Liparidae. Distribution: Eastern South Pacific: Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego and south of Cape Horn. Habitat: marine.
