Holotype: NRM 17572. Paratypes: NRM 17570-71 (50, 16), 17573-75 (6, 12, 3), 18067 (3), 37053 [ex NRM 17570] (3, c&s); MHNG 1583.59-60 (2), 2233.68-71 (3, 3, 4, 4); ZMB 31572 (2). •Valid as Bujurquina moriorum Kullander 1986 -- (Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:619 [ref. 27061], Arbour et al. 2014:84 [ref. 33331], Barriga Salazar 2014:118 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:99 [ref. 35633], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:28 [ref. 39298], Říčan et al. 2022:[12] 2210 [ref. 40473], Říčan & Říčanová 2023:193 [ref. 40236]). Current status: Valid as Bujurquina moriorum Kullander 1986. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin (Colombia, Ecuador and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
