Current status: Valid as Meiacanthus crinitus Smith-Vaniz 1987. Blenniidae: Blenniinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: eastern Indonesia east to New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
