Type catalog: Vasil'eva et al. 2001:13 [ref. 25714]. •Valid as Torpedo semipelagica Parin & Kotlyar 1985 -- (Pequeño 1997:79 [ref. 23536], Compagno 1999:487 [ref. 25589]). •Questionably a synonym of Torpedo tremens de Buen 1959 -- (Carvalho et al. 2002:31 [ref. 26091]). •Valid as Tetronarce semipelagica (Parin & Kotlyar 1985) -- (Weigmann 2016:78 [ref. 34211] see remarks). •Synonym of Tetronarce tremens (de Buen 1959) -- (Carvalho et al. 2016:193 [ref. 34999]). Current status: Synonym of Tetronarce tremens (de Buen 1959). Torpedinidae. Distribution: Chile [if valid]. Habitat: marine.
