feraeensis, Gobio gobio Stephanidis [A.] 1973:192, Figs. 1-2 [Biologia Gallo-Hellenica v. 4 (no. 2); ref. 17318] Kefalovrysson [fountain] of Velestinon, Thessaly, Greece. Syntypes: (35) Lab. of Zool. Univ. of Salonica, Greece. The sistern from which the types came is now dry -- (Kottelat & Freyhof 2009:76 [ref. 30320]). •Synonym of Gobio gobio (Linnaeus 1758), but a valid subspecies -- (Lelek 1987:190 [ref. 22962] as faraeensis, Bănărescu et al. 1999:82, 109 [ref. 24850]). •Synonym of Gobio gobio (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Kottelat 1997:61 [ref. 22952]). •Valid as Gobio feraeensis Stephanidis 1973 -- (Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:91 [ref. 29996], Kottelat & Freyhof 2009:79 [ref. 30320], Barbieri et al. 2015:52 [ref. 35029]). Current status: Valid as Gobio feraeensis Stephanidis 1973. Gobionidae. Distribution: Greece. Habitat: freshwater.
