Not treated by Mago-Leccia 1994 [ref. 21320]. •Valid as Gymnorhamphichthys rosamariae Schwassmann 1989 -- (Albert 2001:124 [ref. 25614], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:492 [ref. 27061], Lundberg 2005:3 [ref. 29334], Carvalho et al. 2011:400 [ref. 31553], Ferraris et al. 2017:[26] [ref. 35236], Taphorn et al. 2022:40 [ref. 41297]). Current status: Valid as Gymnorhamphichthys rosamariae Schwassmann 1989. Rhamphichthyidae. Distribution: South America: Rio Negro basin, Essequibo and Takutu river basins (Brazil and Guyana). Habitat: freshwater.
