Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Questionably a synonym of Triplophysa stoliczkae (Steindachner 1866) subspecies retropinnis (Herzenstein 1888) -- (Prokofiev 2006:257 [ref. 29061]). •Questionably a synonym of Triplophysa stolickai (Steindachner 1866) -- (Prokofiev 2007:8 [ref. 28990] as stoliczkae). •Possible synonym of Triplophysa rossoperegrinatorum Prokofiev 2001 -- (Prokofiev 2010:895 [ref. 31096]). •Valid as Triplophysa hexiensis (Zhao & Wang 1988) -- (Prokofiev 2001:194 [ref. 26613] as texiensis, Kottelat 2012:126 [ref. 32367]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa hexiensis (Zhao & Wang 1988). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Ruoshui River and Shiyang River drainages, northern China. Habitat: freshwater.
