Type catalog: Weber 1998:9 [ref. 32707], Ferraris 2007:60 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Dysichthys quadriradiatus Mees 1989 -- (Burgess & Finley 1996:167 [ref. 22901]). •Valid as Bunocephalus quadriradiatus (Mees 1989) -- (Friel in Reis et al. 2003:263 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:60 [ref. 29155], Barriga Salazar 2014:110 [ref. 35745]). •Valid as Pseudobunocephalus quadriradiatus (Mees 1989) -- (Friel 2008:294 [ref. 29834], Leão et al. 2019:123 [ref. 36648]). Current status: Valid as Pseudobunocephalus quadriradiatus (Mees 1989). Aspredinidae: Aspredininae. Distribution: Upper Amazon River basin, Peru and Ecuador. Habitat: freshwater.
