Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:14 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:15 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Craterocephalus lentiginosus Ivantsoff, Crowley & Allen 1987 -- (Allen & Leggett 1990:536 [ref. 20887], Crowley & Ivantsoff 1992:278 [ref. 20015], Unmack 2001:1061 [ref. 25797] as lentigenosus, Hutchins 2001:25 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2002:135 [ref. 25930], Morgan et al. 2004:150 [ref. 27718], Paxton et al. 2006:707 [ref. 28995], Ivantsoff & Allen 2011:50 [ref. 31135], Morgan et al. 2011:13 [ref. 31262], Pusey et al. 2017:33 [ref. 35250]). Current status: Valid as Craterocephalus lentiginosus Ivantsoff, Crowley & Allen 1987. Atherinidae: Craterocephalinae. Distribution: Australia: Kimberley (Western Australia) and western Northern Territory. Habitat: freshwater.
