Species spelled originally nativiatus twice and nativitatus twice; etymology is nativitatus so nativiatus is regarded as a misspelling. •Valid as Steeneichthys nativitatus Allen 1987 -- (Allen & Adrim 2003:34 [ref. 26830], Allen & Erdmann 2012:350 [ref. 31980], Allen & Erdmann 2024:375 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Steeneichthys nativitatus Allen 1987. Plesiopidae: Plesiopinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Christmas Island (Australia) east to Kalimantan and West Papua (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
