See Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:4 [ref. 27295] for comments on the type specimen and on an additional specimen that would make a good neotype. •Valid as Cyclopteropsis jordani Soldatov 1929 -- (Lindberg & Legeza 1955:448 [ref. 2785], Ueno 1970:176 [ref. 26199], McAllister 1990:208 [ref. 14674], Parin et al. 2002:S105 [ref. 28300], Mecklenburg & Sheiko 2003:5 [ref. 27295], Mecklenburg et al. 2011:127 [ref. 31212], Page et al. 2013:127 [ref. 32708], Dolgov 2013:919 [ref. 33112], Parin et al. 2014:305 [ref. 33547], Afonso et al. 2016:56, 140 [ref. 36199], Mecklenburg et al. 2018;266 [ref. 36370] see remarks). •Valid as Eumicrotremus jordani (Soldatov 1929) -- (Oku et al. 2017:55 [ref. 35060] dated 1930, Voskoboinikova & Orlovskaya 2020:21 [ref. 38114]). Current status: Valid as Eumicrotremus jordani (Soldatov 1929). Cyclopteridae: Eumicrotreminae. Distribution: Arctic Ocean and northwestern Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
