ladogae, Coregonus albula infra. Pravdin [I. F.], Golubev [F. R.] & Belyaeva [K. I.] 1938:216 et seq., Fig. [Uchenye Zapiski Leningradskogo Universiteta v. 3, No. 15 (for 1937); ref. 19619] Lake Ladoga, Russia. Regarded previously in the Catalog of Fishes as unavailable, infrasubspecific; from s. part of Lake Ladoga, Russia. Regarded as preoccupied in Coregonus, replaced by ladogensis Berg 1948:323 [ref. 12882]. However, Kottelat et al. 2005:184-185 [ref. 28473] discuss 2 differing texts (Russian and German); they regard ladogae of Pravdin et al. as subspecific and not infrasubspecific -- therefore available. •Synonym of Coregonus albula (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Berg 1948:323 [ref. 12882]). •Questionably in the synonymy of Coregonus albula (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Kottelat 1997:116 [ref. 22952]). •Synonym of Coregonus albula (Linnaeus 1758), but a valid subspecies -- (Bogutskaya & Naseka 2004:134 [ref. 28183]). •Valid as Coregonus ladogae Pravdin, Golubev & Belyaeva 1938 -- (Kottelat et al. 2005:184 [ref. 28473], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:389 [ref. 29996], Dyldin et al. 2020:112 [ref. 37569]). Current status: Valid as Coregonus ladogae Pravdin, Golubev & Belyaeva 1938. Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Distribution: Northeastern Europe: Lake Ladoga (Russia), introduced into other lakes. Habitat: freshwater.
