Type catalog: Smith 1994:7 [ref. 21917]. •Valid as Congrhynchus talabonoides Fowler 1934 -- (Smith 1994:7 [ref. 21917], Smith 1999:1686 [ref. 24661], Ho et al. 2015:150 [ref. 34130], Smith et al. 2018:228 [ref. 36048], Kodeeswaran et al. 2023:[1] [ref. 40644]). Current status: Valid as Congrhynchus talabonoides Fowler 1934. Congridae: Congrinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: southwestern India east to Philippines, north to Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
