Current status: Valid as Salarias segmentatus Bath & Randall 1991. Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Sabah (Malaysia) and central Indonesia east to Palau, Yap and New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
