Additional material: SIO (13 lots, 52). •Valid as Eptatretus mcconnaugheyi Wisner & McMillan 1990 -- (Fernholm 1998:34 [ref. 23976], Nelson et al. 2004:48 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:1 [ref. 37547], Knapp et al. 2011:404 [ref. 37507], Page et al. 2013:48 [ref. 32708], Angulo & Del Moral-Flores 2016:104 [ref. 34472], Kells et al. 2016:347 [ref. 35888], Love et al. 2021:11 [ref. 39279], Page et al. 2023:35 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Eptatretus mcconnaugheyi Wisner & McMillan 1990. Myxinidae: Eptatretinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of Baja California (Mexico), including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
