Additional material: SIO (8 lots, 185). •Valid as Eptatretus sinus Wisner & McMillan 1990 -- (Fernholm 1998:34 [ref. 23976], Mok et al. 2001:1026 [ref. 25820], Nelson et al. 2004:48 [ref. 27807], Knapp et al. 2011:404 [ref. 37507], Page et al. 2013:48 [ref. 32708], Angulo & Del Moral-Flores 2016:107 [ref. 34472], Page et al. 2023:35 [ref. 40505], Fricke et al. 2024:57 [ref. 41622]). Current status: Valid as Eptatretus sinus Wisner & McMillan 1990. Myxinidae: Eptatretinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: central Gulf of California, Baja California, Baja California Sur and Sonora (Mexico) endemic. Habitat: marine.
